Founded in 1895, Greystones GC is one of Ireland's longest established golf clubs.

It sits in one of Ireland's most scenic locations, surrounded by the Wicklow Mountains with wonderful panoramas of Dublin Bay.

The Club was originally set around Jones's Hill which still provides the feature hole (7th.) of the course, set high above Greystones town with magnificent views from Lambay Island to Wicklow Head, with the Sugarloaf and Wicklow Mountains as the inland backdrop.

Greystones GC has seen significant development in recent years and now boasts a modern clubhouse.

In 1998 the outward 9 was redesigned with USGA standard sand- based greens and tee boxes, whilst we retained the traditional style of the course's back 9 holes.

This blend of history and modernity gives an intriguing character to the course and provides golfers with variety and a challenging round.

The Club House, opened in 1994, is located at the centre of the course, surrounded by ample car parking. It is bright and spacious and provides excellent facilities including Bar / Lounge area, Locker rooms and a fully stocked Golf Shop. The Dining area for snacks and full dining for our visitors are also available.

A novel feature is the Putting Green, which was the walled garden of the original building.

The Course
At 5,322 meters, the 18 hole parkland course demands accuracy and skill rather than big hitting to match the par of 69.
Greystones will test your shot making abilities, providing golfers with a variety of challenges,
while rewarding them with panoramic views of the Wicklow mountains
and the dramatic coastline sweep from Lambay Island to Wicklow Head.

Front Nine
The outward 9 was completely redesigned in 1997.
The fairways take advantage of the gorse- covered slopes of Jones's Hill
while the new sand based greens are of USGA standard.

Back Nine
The character of the inward 9, featuring the original tree-lined fairways
and the more traditional style of greens has been maintained.
This blend of historic and modern provides a special character
that enhances the challenge of golf in Greystones.
